Between 2007 and 2012 I was head of global affairs in the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
This meant that I was responsible for our policy in the World Health Organisation (including attending the World Health Assembly and meetings of the European division of WHO).
We also had special bilateral relations with China, the United States and interactions with many other countries as well of course.
And we tried to include more health in our foreign policy (a global health policy).
All together a fascinating time with as highlights the annual World Health Assemblees (with speeches by people like Bill Gates and bisshop Tutu). But with also topics and conferences like Environment and Health (Parma 2010), Health Systems (Talinn 2008) and the swine flew pandemic of 2009 were very interesting.
