Erasmus University, work

After my studies I could do a job at the university instead of military services and altogether I worked there from 1988 to 1993, the first two years as course organiser on labour market analysis and the last 3 years as an official university teacher.

Highlights were:

– Organisation of training courses for people from a.o. Pakistan (see photos above). I delivered lectures myself on survey analysis and statistics. See manual on survey analysis

– Doing research culminating in a book on Patterns of economic restructuring and Social Accounting Matrices. I made the first SAMs for Poland and many other Eastern European countries.

– Pretending to be Eastern Europe expert (dr Klavan) at the time of the fall of the wall (picture follows).

– In 1990 I went with a group of students of EFR Rotterdam to Hungary to investigate its market potential. See report.

– I also went to Romania to deliver lectures on the system of national accounts.
