Study

From 1988-1993 I studied economics with a focus on health care and developing countries. Highlights were:

– The Eureka or introduction week (see picture in slide show)
– Master thesis on primary health care in Poland
– Study trip in 1986 and in 1987/1988 a 3 months stay in Lodz, Poland (see also my films on this website for a film from this time).
– The lectures by Prof Zuidema on history of economic thought (see first pages of syllabus).
– Board of Association for development economics with seminar on India. With a reader in which I wrote an article on mulinationals.

From 1984 till 1987 I was member of the group Triton within the student association SSSR. In 1986 I became member of the board. Twice a year we went away for a weekend and in between there were many drinks and activities. This is an example of how we communicated in the time before e-mail and whatsapp.
