Since 2024, I have been working at the European Office of the World Health Organization. My role involves serving as desk officer for several countries, acting as a liaison between national health ministries and WHO colleagues. I also contribute to regional overviews of our collaboration with all 53 Member States, identifying where our added value lies. This work has taken on even greater significance following the United States’ withdrawal from WHO, underscoring the need to maintain global health as a top priority. To continue playing a vital role in safeguarding the health of all people in the region, we must demonstrate clear value for money. This episode still evolves so expect more later.
